PLT Educator Workshop

The PLT Educator Workshop is designed for classroom teachers, and for all nonformal educators from agencies, organizations and businesses, as well as interested individuals. Pre-service teachers are strongly encouraged to attend. Students in grades 6-12 may attend, with appropriate supervision.

Minimum enrollment for all workshops is eight people. We encourage you to share the workshop flier with fellow workers and contacts in order to ensure sufficient enrollment.

Workshops are available in five formats:

  1. a 7.5 hour Saturday workshop, open to all educators PreK-12, with one-half NDE inservice credit for teachers
  2. a 7.5 hour workshop either in three after-school sessions or on a staff development day, with one-half NDE inservice credit, for a specific school and its educational partners; these workshops focus on either the PreK-8 guide or the secondary guides
  3. a six hour workshop for your agency, organization or pre-service class
  4. a 15 hour Friday and Saturday workshop, open to all educators PreK-12, with one NDE inservice credit for teachers
  5. as a part of week-long summer institutes

NNREC is always open to partnering with school districts, agencies, organizations and others to offer PLT Educator Workshops in all areas of Nevada. Please contact Dan Allison, , 775-882-2375 to discuss possible workshop partnerships, locations, and dates.
