Carson River Watershed Model EE Project
The Nevada Natural Resource Education Council has adopted natural resource and environmental education in the Carson River Watershed as a model environmental education project. A large number of agencies, organizations and individuals have implemented environmental education and resource conservation projects and events in the watershed. NNREC will publicize these collaborative and independent activities so that other areas of the state may adopt and modify this activity as a model for their own areas and watersheds. NNREC may also directly support some of the Carson River Watershed projects and create activities and events collaboratively with others.
The list below includes all the known activities and events in the Carson River Watershed. Please email director@nnrec.org to contribute additional resources or update these.
The Education Working Group of the Carson River Coalition meets once a month at the Carson Water Subconservancy District office in Carson City to plan and coordinate the educational efforts of many partners and individuals.
