History
2006-2007 Awards
The mini-grant awards for 2006-2007 are:
- Shana Snyder, Minden ES: $250 for a Water Awareness Day for two classes at Minden ES (3/4 and 6, 45 students), students will rotate through six stations to do Project WET activities, grant will purchase materials for the stations and student journals. This proposal is the result of the water and wetlands workshop at LIFE.
- Pam Ertel, Minden ES: $500 to purchase instructional materials for use in the geology quadrant of their school garden/outdoor classroom for all students, and in particular for two classes that are doing a Complex Instruction geology unit. This proposal is the result of the geology and soils workshop at LIFE.
- Milton Neuenschwander, Nevada Outdoor School: $500 for substitute reimbursements for teachers attending Nevada Outdoor School's workshop at Water Canyon on November 10 (a school day) that will include the use of locally developed lesson plans and Project Learning Tree. This proposal is the result of the forests and fire workshop at LIFE.
All of these individuals attended the Lamoille Institute for Educators (LIFE) in 2006.
